Barış Manço (1943 - 1999) was a Turkish rock singer, song writer and tv host. Living in Paris during the 60s, he started a
band Les Mistigris. Considered one of the most influential pop artists of Turkey. Founder member of the band Kurtalan Ekspres, died suddenly of a heart attack in 1999.
